Found some free time today so i grabbed my pan got in the truck and headed to the reservation in uwharrie. My spot was taken by hunters so i went to a place where i found a picker not long ago. Did three pans and... nothing so i checked out a wash i saw on my way in by a creek i did two pans and... nothing so on up the road i go. Stopped at a creek that i had sampled [ and found gold ] this past fall. Did five pans and as you could imagine... nothing... o well today wasnt my day i still had a good time though at least i know where the gold is not at lol. Btw i hope everybody had a great christmas.

i would like to its gonna be nice tomorrow You need to go further down on that first creek we tried last week. The upper end had too much overburden. We were still finding gold. Find a spot that has steep sides. |

I guess we r going Sunday That is the plan. I have been laid up with a toothache. Going to work tomorrow to make up some of my time. |

Thats true it is part of the fun i remember about 10 yrs ago it was a good day if i found 20 specks after running 5 buckets through a slucie all day. Sometimes i cant belive ive stuck with this hobby for so long but for some reason i keep coming back. I truly love those creeks and all the worthless holes ive dug in them lol.
