Finally got my gold sucker dialed in!!! Works great and fairly easy to make when you get your part and material... On the other hand it took a couple trips to lowes and some advise from uregold, thanks, but it's now ready to suck pickers, stickers and nuggets.

Ya I thought about that that will be the next one I make. Just wanted to make one and see how it does when I'm on the water.

The gold & sand works well for about 20 minutes. Then the expensive check valves fail. I have replaced two I got from Red and both quickly failed. 20 minutes or 20 minutes...which ever comes first. He said there were production problems with the first valve but the one he sent to replace it was no better.

ya i figured 3/4 inch would be the best choice. with the gold and sand... i think they just put a plunger below the y value allowing it to open with you suck and then it closes down with push. there your material is pushed into the tube and bucket instead of out the nozzle. that how i think it works but i might be wrong. doesn't seem to hard to build. i might try to build one later on

Would be nice on those creeks that you can't get a dredge into.
