That's my goal. My son had a blast a few weeks back with me. Not sure what he liked most looking for gold, salamanders, crayfish or hanging by the camp fire warming up after stepping in a hole and filling up his boots.

My kids got me into this hobby.

Getting the kids out with me more will keep me in the hobby more often. Keeps the wife happier if I have some with me!

My kids are in their late teens and early 20's. I love it when they ask me when our next outing will be.

My teen love girls and basketball. Has no real passion yet. Maybe the bug did not bite deep enough. And, I needed the help!

Actually when my son was in the cub scouts and he had to do the Pinewood Derby thing, I found professional racing leagues and it turned into a hobby for me. Over the course of about 4 years a total of 4 National Champion titles in 3 classes for me and my son won 2 in his division. Now he is soon to be an Eagle Scout and the car racing is just a thing of the past. Now we are into camping, hiking and such. We both love our toy trains too. My wife says I will never grow up and I say I will always be a kid at heart.

It only rains for about a week out there per year, but it was pretty cool..
