It's slippery and dot can't keep up with it.. salting operations are about non existent currently.

We got right at 6.5" yesterday during the first round and today we have about ..25 to .5 inches of freezing rain and ice coating everything and it's still coming down. Luckily, we still have power but it's going out all around us. Keeping my fingers crossed.

We got right at 6.5" yesterday during the first round and today we have about ..25 to .5 inches of freezing rain and ice coating everything and it's still coming down. Luckily, we still have power but it's going out all around us. Keeping my fingers crossed. that sucks, hope it stays on for you.. |

Pretty nasty up here in Durham county too. I heard I40 west bound is still closed and I85 is closed too. Next door neighbor just got home from work, she left at 1pm.

^^^ That was Glendwood/Business 70...it was a mess yesterday. I swear we have what looks like almost a foot, and are supposed to get hit again today! One of my hospitals is off Duke St/85 and it was a parking lot most of the evening yesterday!

Over here in albemarle we're at 5-6 inches of snow, and another 1/4 inch of ice from when it started sleeting through most of the night. Today it's suppose to add on even more, but knock on wood i haven't seen any damage over here so far either.
