I personally think that smashing the washplant was scripted, they can't have any of the shows without some kind of major drama!!!

I know that the mechanic, Harness or whatever his name was on the first season was taking Morphine for his back pain, but I think I heard/read that Todd's dad Jack was also taking Morphine for some kind of pain, if so I'm thinking that Todd is that pain

, so that would make it easy to smash the washplant if it wasn't scripted.
