I was looking at some of my older posts yesterday and man have I made some silly posts. The good news is, no one bitch slapped me for them.
This is a great bunch of prospectors here, with loads of info and help.
No such thing as a dumb question here.

Only takes one or two members slapping people every time they try to keep a forum active to shut up the entire forum. Won't happen here. No post is a dumb post. We are all learning even the most experienced prospector.

We are trying to make this the best prospecting forum on the internet. We invite questions. We all learn. I have been prospecting since 1991. I am still learning. We also try to help people who are just getting into the hobby. We might not post creek names with a X marks the spot but we will gladly take new prospectors out to out spots. Just send a moderator or admin a private message. We do not post creek names. That is to protect the creeks and our hobby. This is one of the most active groups I have seen. We have had at least one member prospecting on any given weekend all year long. We will be setting up group outings as the weather warms. All are welcome to participate.

there are some good ones out there but i feel like we have the best on the net. i also like Eastern Us Prospectors too.

It is ultimately up to the members to make a forum. Yes... make a forum. So many times members just look and never post. The ones posting gets burned out so forum dies. The ones that flame members every time you try to carry on a discussion drives me crazy. Why have a forum... just have a website and post on a bulletin board info for members. So..., think out of the box and ask questions or share historical and or beneficial info. Creek names excluded. Thought I would throw that one in for all the location hawkers out there.
