The good, bad and ugly. Got to head out this morning with my oldest two. Had a pretty good time. My daughter really got into it and actually found several flakes panning herself. Pretty darn impressed. Hiked to a couple places, one area looked like a war zone craters everywhere. Ran 7 buckets total from two different areas steady gold in the rubber grooves at the top at both places. Cannot wait to pan it all down this week. My daughter thought running the sluice was "awesome" as she started seeing little specks in the rubber up top. My son took a two hour nap at the first place wrapped in a cheap space blanket he found in my pack. Woke up not remembering where he was. Then things went down hill..busted my ...falling down an a steep bank into the creek with a full pack. Kids thought it was great, me not so much. Then got a speeding ticket on the way home. Now realized my gold guzzler snuffer seems to be missing and have no idea where it is. Hoping it turns up somewhere in the morning. Unfortunately I fear it and its gold are history. Dang depressing.

I take my two boys with me. My first rule watch you feet and walk carefully in the creek. They have been enough times now they pack extra clothes and a towel. I can't help but laugh at them

Hope not but maybe. Still got to Dig around some more. Thinking kids may have had something to do with it...not much in it I do not think. Someone will get a special treat. We only stopped. Two places. One I had been to show them there was some gold and the. On exploring to keep them busy.

My sons have a habit of raiding my toolbox. They are 9-10 years old. I ask about a tool and they swear they dont know anything about it. So like you I turn everything upside down looking for it. Then when im at my wits end one of them comes up and says I just found it in my room (all innocent like they didn't get it)! I feel like blowing a head gasket! But im glad they give them back now. Just a few years ago I would find them in the yard, out in the driveway, and the best place down the toilet. Yeah I had to unbolt it and stick my hand up the bottom end to get the sockets out. My boys sat in the tub watching me the whole time too!!!! After a good nose full of sewage smell that stopped. I love them more than life itself though, and I wouldnt trade one memory for an ounce of gold! Well maybe the toilet memory I would. Lol

Both of my kids are in their 30's. Enjoy them while they are young.
