Ok here is a funny story for you. I work I have to clean debris out from under machines. Its small leaf matter that has been pulverized. I have asked for a vacuum for years and as always ignored. When I started dredging I couldn't believe how a pump pushing water could create suction. The mechanics of a dredge really interested me. Anyway this winter I haven't dredged yet so I was going through withdrawals. The idea popped into my head about how my dredge works.... so what the $@!! Let's give it a shot. I have to crawl on my belly about 8 feet under the feed apron to get the the debris. Some pics show the high pressure air coming into the suction hose which is about 18-20 foot long. The video sound is loud because of the location so turn your volume down. This is the symptoms of my fever in advanced stages of lunacy. If you dredge any you will find the humor!!!

Couldn't you just setup a permanent vacuum system to suck that stuff up as it runs? Neat air dredge idea though.

That would be easier. Boss didn't want to spend money for vacuum system. So I got creative. Everyone thought I was a genius because it worked. I proved having vacuum system was useful so boss is working on getting industrial vac. system.
