I'll be going. They moved it to opening at 10 am supposed to be about 70 degrees. Chili cook-off starts at 4.

Great people and a good time to be had. We'll be there in the creek dredging. Vendors will be there as well.

Easy to find location. Just off I-85 near Dale Earnhardt Blvd exit. Now is the time to get those prospecting items you have always wanted from the vendors. Bill is loading up his trailer full of goodies. Guests are welcome so come on out for a fun day with other prospectors. There will be many of us from this forum there. So we all can get a chance to meet each other.
Also. if you want to join club, it's free. Only requirements are three meetings or three outings and or combination of the two. Then purchase a T-shirt and name tag. That's it!
Creek has good AU in it so bring a pan. See ya there!

I actually went to an outing there about 2 years or so ago. I lucked up. I knew nothing about the Kannapolis chapter and just happened to be driving by and saw a sign out front. Mind you, this was a route I never take. Just so happens something came up and I had to make a detour from where I was. I went and took care of business and decided to swing back by and check it out.

I didn't get down to the creek, but we ended up having 98 people show up. Many of which did play in the creek. Great Raffle and chilly cook-off. Everyone who played in the creek found nice gold! Too bad more members didn't show up. Great weather and good gold and delicious food. Doesn't get much better than that!   |
