Well everyone knows it's about time for tourist season.. Scientists dismiss claims that Yellowstone volcano about to erupt.
Link.. news.yahoo.com/scientists-dismiss-claims-yellowstone-volcano-erupt-235751568.html;_ylt=AwrBEiGtIT5TMyMA7l7QtDMDYellowstone officials, who fielded dozens of calls and emails since the video went viral this week following an earthquake in the park, said the video actually shows bison galloping down a paved road that leads deeper into the park. ) "It was a spring-like day and they were frisky. Contrary to online reports, it's a natural occurrence and not the end of the world," park spokeswoman Amy Bartlett said. Oh so it was a spring like day, and the animals were frisky, so they wanted to jog away from the caldera? Oh but let's tell the soon to be tourists it's fine to come back.. so I dug a little deeper. This is the uplift of the caldera, the magma is forming under the crust. This has been the highest it's pushed upward in all the time since they began monitoring. But the animals were frisky.. they wanted to run.. ya.. In december of last year they stated this " Researchers report the super-volcano underneath the state of Wyoming has been rising at a record rate since 2004. Its floor has gone up three inches per year for the last three years indicating the fastest rate since records began in 1923" Reference: www.earthmountainview.com/yellowstone/yellowstone.htm

If that puppy lets loose, we are all in for a world of poop. We would have significant ash fall here on the east coast.

I'm a whole lot more concerned about the ash cloud that would encircle the earth for the next 500 years or so. That is the largest active caldera on earth. When that one blows, all Hell will break loose.
