i thought it would be fun to ask everyone what hobbies they have outside of gold prospecting. some people have very interesting and diffrent hobbies. i in the past have skateboarded, bmx, and even snowboarded but mostly on leaves lol. later on i got into rock climbing, hiking, and paddling. ive done all sorts of stuff but curently i paddle whitewater, ride atvs, build stuff, and play guitar/drums.

Cool. Other than playing with the kids...I collect indian artifacts, have since I was a kid. Run, race and run some more. Triathlons, road races etc. Fish as often as I can. My favorite is to get back to the mountains to fly fish. Problem is I now find myself trying to decide if there is gold in every river.

I love saltwater reef aquariums but it got to expensive when my first son came alone. Then I got in to motorcycles. My last was a hayabusa!! You could out run any problems you had. Most of all if you was pissed for any reason climb on hit interstate 85 and hold on!!! It would hit 180 with my fat ass on it no problem!!! By the time you got home you couldnt be pissed. That kinda speed would drain it out of you. But I wreaked it on the dragons tail; its not a corner bike. My wife told me I needed a new hobby so prospecting it is. Oh I was only doing about 20 mph when I wreaked. I lent over to far and layed it down. I put my mirror on the tree of shame and the rest is history.

i have had a lot of outdoor interest, i was a bird hunter for years and fished some, golf was a lot of fun as well. my best sport that was the most fun and filled all the spots was sports car racing. I ran a Porsche in SCCA and NASA and won the Southeastern Porsche super cup championship in 04. hell i even got wrote up in a few magazines with my pic with girls with large chest twins. driving was the most fun but trying to win a championship was more like a job and stressful. a few things in my life changed a lot of things in my life so gold mining is the only thing that has held my interest in the past 5 years. keeps you in shape and lets you build neat stuff to do it with. i like that part a lot. Joey Oh!! Ya don't forget almost dying a couple of times too!! ok then why am i so tired when i get home. the almost dying part could have been avoided by keeping up with the weather. big fast water mixed with lighting along with being the highest thing is the widest part of a river and half a mile of walking on the bottom that was gone most of the time. i gave us 50% of getting off that river at best. i felt the hair stand up on my arms several times. head ackes after a strike says you got hit some just not enough to kill you. not yet anyway,we still had an hour to get off the river. that was crazy as hell and not any fun at all. lets see we went back to that river too didnt we. now that is really crazy as hell. we aint skeerd we are just stupid is all. lol i guess.

I like to fish hunt and prospect. I just purchased a new kayak so hopefully this will open up new avenues to do all of the above.

Hey cool I still play paintball in the CFOA and in scenario games! I mostly play with old school markers though. A lot of people at my local field keep telling me to upgrade but they are all under 18 and don't know much about the beginning of our sport. I also do a lot of fly fishing and tying. Drives my wife crazy! Tying material everywhere! Go hunting all the time. That's about it for now.

I tried airsoft awhile back. it was fun but expensive. I think it cost me about $50 to play with rented equipment. also a lot of kids cheat because theres no way to mark a hit.
