very nice. I think that's used for titanium production. I know where these can be found in Montgomery county and from the looks of it you do too lol.

You talking about the shingletrap quartz mine? That spot is known for producing anatase on quartz (can't dig there anymore though. It's off limits now.) This is from a completely different spot. It had never been dug before.

There is a native American quarry site up the mountain, not like a mine or anything, just where they were getting materials to make arrowheads/tools etc.... So that area was deemed an archeological site. Don't get caught digging there...lol. Big no no It's ridiculous because the quartz mine has nothing to do with it.... But what can ya do

awhile back they shut down the rocky mountain loop trail because of an archeological site. I wonder if these are related.

I found something strange last weekend. Mason was digging for crystals. I took some of the loose material to the creek and panned it. There were hundreds of Tiny garnets in my pan. I have never found garnets in the creek below where he was digging. I might explore that a little more.

Cool! Definitely worth checking out Were you at the same creek I came and checked out? If so I think I remember finding one in one of the pans I did. it was pretty small, but had nice color.
