Hello everyone! I'm new to the prospecting world and have done very little panning. I have access to a really old net work of streams on private property that is in the inlaw side of the family. Some of the springs are seasonal and rarely have a drop of water during mid summer, but become very much alive after a god rain! Anyway, as I said, I am new to this but have always wanted to get into this field and have plenty of fun with my dad. I live in the up state of Greenville, SC and unfortunately live in an apartment and want to rip the last bit of hair out from apartment life. I hope to learn a lot from you all and hope to become good friends with you all as well! God bless you all!

Thanks guys/gals. I watch youtube for TV, HAHA! I just ordered a 3200GPH sump pump I'm going to try and make recirculating sluice with it. I live very close to Tiger River and I'm not sure if I can legally dredge there or even use a sluice box there. So I'm going to take buckets and take them to my dad's to run it. I know their is a mining operation on that river farther done near jug factory road, so I know there is gold in it. Plus, the streams on my inlaws land is a tribute to that river not far from that mining operation. I am definitely going to stay here for awhile. Hope to make a lot of friends here as well. Do you have a thread here for the laws in the states and or counties that can be used as a reference.

we don't have a section for laws but try googling sc mining laws. that might put you in the right direction.
