Pit = Gold.

Well we got back out this weekend and I decided to work the other side down. Rock city and some large boulders sticking out...

I was able to get a lot of large orange quartz out and a lot of other interesting rounded river type rocks..

Made quite the hole this weekend.










And finally the long awaited pit gold from testing. about 60 gallons not classified or creek concentrated and dry material...

Not any as chunky as fireonthemountains, but not bad for the area we are in.

Very cool. That's some good looking gold. I know digging that hole wasn't an easy task, especially if done by hand. nice job!

This was also a completely random test hole in the drainage area, it just smelt right. LOL

Mostly luck. We are in a good area that I know there is gold about anywhere you dig. The problem is mostly all fly poop. So the bigger the more excited we get and Sunday it got bigger by a good bit. if you look at the gold pic 3 there is a separation in the gold, all the gold to the right is from 2 days test sluicing, then Sunday is the larger stuff on the left. Quite a surprise...  LOL.
