look forward to seeing it ... thanks UREGOLD... I carry a Keene A51A sluice and Garrett gold pans, hammer, shovel, home made crevasse tools,Garrett 1/2" classifier and 5 gallon bucket.. I think my water and snacks are where the weight is, I carry it in a backpack... I am thinking about getting one of those water filtering bags or the Lifestraw, but I really don't know what would be best.. any ideas ?? I am worried about the taste of filtering creek water. Or should I just keep carrying bottled water??

I carry a lot of the same stuff. I would keep carrying water just make sure you have plenty of it. ive ran out 5 times this year so far lol. the worst time I ran out I still had 4 miles to go. I carry a life straw for emergencys but I would not recommend drinking from most of uwharries creeks. I would purify water from a select spring if I had to. ive used purifiers many times and ive never had any issues with water taste. MSR makes a really good filter and katadyn is good too.

I carry at least 4 16oz bottles and sometimes I also carry at least four Gatorade too.. all that digging sure can make ya thristy !!! Thanks and maybe I'll see you on the creek!!!

this is my main tool setup. I have many other tools that I might take for trips that need them but I don't carry everything at one time all the time.
