If anyone is still active here? Thanks for all the info to be gleaned by reading old threads. My first trip to the Eldorado creeks today, first time with a pan in hands, and I put 25 or so colors in the bottle.

Bumped into one other prospector, thanks for the tips Jody.

Any body here gonna be out in Uwharrie in the coming couple weeks? I'll be out a few days for sure.

yeah its kinda dead around here these days. I still pop in from time to time. I plan on prospecting some after deer season. that's a good area back there. pretty hard hit but still good in spots. creeks are running high right now with all the rain.

Yep, water too high, almost impossible. But, found a few more flakes today.

Also, two dead deer in the creek in a quarter mile today. ''Tis the season. Both small does.

money, you been back out or the rain keeping you in? Are you from the area? I'm from Elizabeth City area and plan on heading over, if it ever stops raining. I have never prospected Uhwarrie, just camped there with a VA jeep club. Looking forward to bring the sluice box and some pans over for a few days. Will give you a shout when I'm heading over.

Hey I am 29 How old are you ncgold? Im new to prospecting, never been but I have free time and thinking about going to Uwharrie. Also thinking about getting a metal detector.
