We had an quick meeting and decided to go out and hit some private land for the club. It was nice exploring a creek, and testing it out to see what type of gold was in here. We knew there were old goldmines in the area. We all had fun..

A little history of that area. It is at the base, literally of a mountain in the Uwharrie's. we were beside a rock dam that is over 150 years old. We were below the dam. Might have better luck on the upper side. There are many old as well as working mines in the area. Lots of fun guys. I will set up another outing. Gotta scout some land. If you want to do homework, it is near sawyer mine.

No, toured Asheville with the hippies. Did get the gloves from Morganton. That shop is cool. Good place to have near gold fields.
