Gold Rush “Carolina”
GPAA - KANNAPOLIS, NC
Located on the creek banks of Cold Water Creek in Kannapolis, North Carolina the
GPAA Kannapolis Chapter (formerly Matthews Chapter ) will host there 1st. Annual Gold Dig. The club house and meeting place is also located in Cabarrus County, of which the first documented gold in America was found in 1799 on what is now known as
"Reed's Gold Mine".
Participants will enjoy 2 fun filled days of team work with other gold prospectors while operating hi-bankers, dredges and metal detectors. Working in rich “Carolina” pay dirt will ensure that all participants earn a fair share of gold found each day.
Additional activities for the whole family include, Gemstone & Gold Panning, Metal Detecting Contests, Guest Speakers, Entertainment, FOOD, Fun and lots of camaraderie along with FREE Admission and FREE Parking while visiting multiple Vendors & Booths.
Primitive Camping Available. Pay Dirt: Gold Ore by the Bag or Bucket will also be available.
