I think we need a group activity..
Let's make a octopus dredge. It has to float, but we need to have alot of nozzles coming off it, atleast 4, 4+ nozzles with a big sluice box, or maybe even a v sluice box on it so all the gold drops out.
Think it is possible?
How big of an engine would we need for it?
Could we make it navigable?
Boat it to the site and dredge?

ya, that would work, I will see if i can find one.. you need two engines to run a 8 right, so that's just two nozzles. Or big pump to power all four.
Wes got 4 engines on his dredges.. we can salvage them since he be working all the time.

I know where to get a lot off dock floats.

I'd like to help create drama we have it everyday in my restaurant. Drama makes the world go round.

If we're going to build one of these wouldn't it be better to have 4 individual sluices up on the boat, that would make each individuals cleanout easier than having to divide the gold at the end of the day and prevent a dispute over who found what nugget. We wouldnt have to add any more pumps as we would still only be using the two water pumps, just have one pump powering two of the sluices with a Y joint.

You will find that an 8" dredge moves the same amount of material as four 4" dredges. Just sayin

They used a floating deck and dredges for the Queen Ann project. They just lined up the dredges, sealed up pipe and jets and went at it.
On a low budget deal, just get a working pontoon boat and remove side walls where working area will be. Add dredges. Driscol is building one now.

modify a 28' pontoon boat? I think the pontoon boat is the solution.. we could even have dampers on the front and back so people really wouldn't know what we was up too..
