So I get these red x's on my google earth, so I tried to uninstall it. But it still loads up all my old junk in there. I am trying to find the mine overlay for san diego county.
Anyone know how to totally uninstall google earth with the overlays so I can re-install it.

Go into Goole Earth folder... find My Places folder and purge all files. Those are the overlays, etc. If you're mapping creeks, you will lose that as well. But, you get back GE.

You can disable any of the "My Places" items by unchecking them after you start Google Earth.

I had so much tracking overlays on my GE that it locked up and would not load. The only way I could get GE in a position to delete it was to go into the files and delete as suggested. Then I was able to reload GE. The Cali overlays will lock up your GE too. Mark had a problem as well. There are alot of discussion on this if you Goggle it on the net.

Art I'm well aware of how the overlays will overload a computer, especially the western states, just way to many mines out there!!!

Would be nice to have that problem here in regards to all the mines. My GE crashed so bad, I played hell trying to delete it and reload. Thought I would never get it back.
