Hey everyone, my name is Lou, originally from Massachusetts and transplanted a year and a half ago to Wilmington, NC. I have been prospecting on and off for 6 years or so. In Massachusetts all we had to chase was tiny flake, so I was happy to spend some time out in the western part of NC going to places like Thermal City and finding some larger flakes than we had back home.

Looking forward to finding some places to actually do some of my own prospecting a little closer to Wilmington, just have never really had anyone else down here to head out with at this point which is why I spend more time at the Thermal City type places.

Gear wise, I have a Keene Sluice, a Fossikers Pyramid Pro pan, and some finishing gear. Ive wanted to get deeper in with a dredge but I just cant justify it living so far away from where I can effectively use it.

Hoping to meet some of y'all and spending some time in the creeks!

Bob lately I have been working from 11am - 3am so mornings are almost non existent. I need to charge my excal and come out one of these days though, its only been to the beach twice in the last year and a half. Will, they are are everywhere! I definitely fit in here more than back there though. So far its been great. Thanks to everyone else for the welcomes, im looking forward to meeting some more people with the same crazy hobbies.
