i have gained access to leeches or leaches creek to dredge right outside of the haile mine property. can someone tell me of the schist, rocks, overburden, and bedrock of the creeks area? thank you. jim.

Really can't answer this but can tell you about land near where you are at. This area is very similar to Stanly County in regards to a visual of creeks. Slate, quartz, red mud, etc. I did see some big rocks but no exposed bed rock where I was at. Good scattering of quartz though. The land we were on was for a tactical so I did not get to prospect. I did take a good look at the trenches that were dug with bac-hoe up on a sharp hill above creek and it was red clay mixed with quartz. I asked Pappy about his land and he said there was gold there. One day I will have to check out property. He has one small creek and a bigger creek on property in Lugoff outside Camden. More closer to Ridgeway off hwy 34.
