For what ever reason I had to create a new thread to post pics. I know its hard to tell but the bigger piece all the way to the left is a slighty lighter color, almost like brass. Is it gold? How do yall think I did?

Looks great!!
The lighter colored piece looks like gold with mercury on it.
I could be wrong because my eyes ain't what they once were.

I have a piece I found in almost the exact same spot last year that was almost this same color. It has sense turned dark almost black really with a few hints of yellow shinning through.

its gold. i dont know where ur working, and dont need to know. but if its around eldorado, i will tell u i pulled a more than normal amount of mercury from that area back in the 1990's. some gold in the area is mercury coated. u would think it would be a silver sheene. i have gold from eldorado area that has a dark luster. gold there is a lower grade, it has a little more impurities. but not bad. jim
