Those will be to big for facemask. The others have locks on the female, light weight and smallier for interchangable dive equipment. Those ones you are talking about are around several dollars a piece made of brass is what I bought for all air fitting elsewhere on my rig.

OK... James my friend, I don't think you understand the difference between the two I'm talking about. The ones I'm talking about have a quater turn fast connect, safety lock, good for 100'+ pressure, light weight and low profile on mask.
If I was to use standard air connections it would be heavy, stick out at least 7" or more on mask, would not be interchangeable for other masks, etc. I guess you could go that way, but to do it right, you need to use dive hardware. Cheers!

Got the disconnect the other day. Love it! Half the size and weight of a standard air connect. I saw that proline uses a disconnect on their harness that is located on ones back. But you still have the hose attached to mask. With the hose on mask you stand a chance of scratching the plastic face and or damage the air fitting when trying to store it.
I also love the locking system to keep the connection from failing. Stainless steel construction with rubber o rings.
I also got a Princeton Tac/ Torrant LED, dive flashlight to attach to top of mask. Wow, now I will be able to see big time. Great primary dive flashlight for a low cost! Got it from Amazon.
