Woke up and cant get back to sleep i just saw this. Dont pay any attention about others and their problems if they arnt on here for good times and friendship then they will move on. The way i see it this site is not about gold but rather the people and friendship that stands behind it. However it does not surprise me that guys pose as girls on the internet lol gotta be carful who you meet out there. Starting to get sleepy going back to bed.

The way i see it this site is not about gold but rather the people and friendship that stands behind it. Don't let a few bad apples make you want to cut down the whole tree. As Ure said this is more of a place for friends and fellow prospectors, the gold is nothing more than icing on the cake. If persons or person from what it sounds like is giving you trouble send thier names to either savage or ywevis and they can take care of the agitator. |

I'll second what Savage said.
In regards to posting pictures of gold, it will draw people to ask for info, etc. I call it gold fever. As far as talking bad about people, I think that is just jealousy and egos. I enjoy prospecting and working with others that have my same interest. The amount of gold found is always a blessing. The real rewards are new friends and enjoying the hobby. If someone was to invite me to their spot, they will never see me again there unless invited again and I don't disclose info to anyone. I always treat people as I want them to treat me. Just a good rule to follow and respect to fellow prospectors.

I like to help people out too i try to put them on the gold but not my gold lol. Theres a fine line between known spots and secret spots. Now there was that one time savage said 'dig here in this random spot ill bet youll find a picker' so on the first pan i found a picker with dust three pans later i found some nice flakes. That time X did mark the spot lol.

Fireonthemountain, I have enjoyed your pictures and hope you continue to add to the content of this board. I want to confirm what Savage and Ywevis have said, if you get any crap from anyone here, please screenshot it if you can and get the info to one of us moderators. We have very little patience for any crap like that. This board is meant to further our hobby, share info, and introduce newbies to the love of gold prospecting. Anything that detracts from that is unwelcome here.

No matter where you go, what you post, you're always gonna have people like that... Flamers and people looking for an easy place to go that they didn't have to find. I take a lot of new people out to a lot of my favorites places but I have my own personal land and private leases that I have access to as well as others where there is still great gold and I'll go as far as teaching that when you pan and get nothing move a few feet try again... and so forth till you find something and dig there till it runs out. Everybody wants to know where the big gold is... I'm like if ya want big go get a lot of little and melt it to big. lol... Good luck.  |
